Wick Phillips is pleased to announce that Jacob Fain was recently promoted to Partner of the firm in the Ft. Worth office. His experience representing lenders, manufacturers and developers has earned him recognition among his clients and peers. Jacob was included on Texas Super Lawyers list of Rising Stars published by Thomson Reuters in 2010-2012, 2014-2015.
Over the years, Jacob has represented clients across the United States, as well as entities based in the United Kingdom and Mexico, in a range of services including manufacturing and distribution, real estate development, and energy. Some of his most notable cases include:
- Representing royalty owners in lawsuits against Chesapeake Energy Corporation regarding improper calculation and payment of royalties under an oil and gas lease
- Obtaining a reverse-and-render opinion in the Beaumont Court of Appeals on behalf of a truck manufacturer
- Defending an international company in a bankruptcy adversary proceeding that culminated in a six-week trial
