Dallas, Texas, October 9, 2024 – The City Council of the City of Dallas recently approved the nomination of Wick Phillips partner Austin Green. Austin, nominated by Councilmember Chad West, is now on the Reinvestment Zone 17 Board within the Transit-Oriented Development TIF District for the City of Dallas.

Transit-Oriented Development is focused on the long-range land use plan for the City of Dallas. The TOD TIF identifies under-performing real estate in the district, partners with private developers to implement redevelopment plans, and reinvests a portion of property tax revenues generated from new development into the area to encourage the implementation of the redevelopment plan. The TOD TIF district covers areas around eight DART stations in four sub-districts along the DART Red and Blue lines. The district also includes the Lovers Lane Station, the Mockingbird Station near SMU, areas south of downtown, sites near the Cedar Crest Golf Course, and in central Oak Cliff. In this role, Austin represents landlords and tenants, landowners, developers, operators, investors, and retailers in the acquisition, development, and disposition of commercial real estate throughout Texas and the United States. Austin has notable experience working with restaurants and other retail chains in the leasing and development of retail properties.
