Los Angeles, July 29, 2022 – A California federal court jury awarded Wick Phillips client Weber Metals, Inc. over $44M for an insurance claim that had been denied in 2020. The trial team was led by Erika Bright and Noah Nadler.
Weber Metals is a leading manufacturer of parts for the aerospace industry. The case arose out of Weber Metals’ insurance claim following the catastrophic failure of its 33,000-ton forging press in September 2018. Weber Metals insurer, ACE American Insurance Company, denied the claim in its entirety. After a week-long trial, the jury issued a verdict for the full amount of damages sought by Weber Metals under the insurance policy.
