Wick Phillips’ Banking and Finance Practice consists of a group of technically proficient and commercially focused attorneys who take the time to understand what is important to the parties involved and focus their efforts accordingly. Our team is experienced enough to understand what terms are “market,” yet nimble enough to implement unique solutions when situations call for them.
Our banking and finance lawyers regularly represent borrowers and lenders in a wide variety of financing structures. We have experience in closing both syndicated and bilateral credit facilities, as well as both cash-flow and asset-based loans. Our team routinely works with complex capital structures and is adept at negotiating intercreditor agreements, from either the first-lien or second-lien perspective.
We have recently closed transactions for borrowers in industries including manufacturing, consumer/retail, healthcare, oilfield services, and media/telecommunications. Additionally, we work closely with the Firm’s Real Estate Practice to regularly close real estate financings for properties in a variety of classes and in every stage of the life cycle, from raw land loans to refinancings of mature properties. As conditions change, transactions do not always work the way the parties expect at the closing. In those situations, Wick Phillips can bring to bear a wealth of experience in workouts and restructuring, including our Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights team if necessary.
We believe that the diversity of our experience and our practical nature create value for our lender and borrower clients alike.
