Britton focuses his practice on representing clients in complex commercial litigation and transactions, including construction, public-private partnerships, energy, and insurance coverage matters.

Britton began his career practicing at Texas-based international law firm Haynes and Boone, LLP. Britton then spent nearly a decade serving as in-house counsel for one of the world’s largest construction and engineering firms, overseeing a wide range of legal matters stemming from ‘megaprojects’ throughout North America. Britton has drafted, reviewed, and negotiated upstream and downstream contracts, including subcontracts, professional services agreements, key supply agreements, and other vendor agreements, as well as general contracts, EPC agreements, and design-build agreements for multi-billion dollar projects. Britton has also managed major litigation and arbitration matters involving breach of contract, negligence, premises liability, fraud, design and construction defects, delay and change claims, and indemnity matters. Additionally, Britton advises clients on transactional matters, particularly issues related to indemnity, insurance, and risk management.

Britton’s extensive experience handling both litigation and transactional matters, as well as managing outside counsel for an international company gives him a unique client-focused perspective and ability to efficiently manage complex matters.

Britton stays active in the community, volunteering his time with several cancer charities. Britton has also served as Adjunct Professor at the UNT Dallas College of Law, where he taught introductory and advanced Legal Writing courses.
